05/10/2008 - Success for Engineers at BBC, 150 Mile foot race across Sahara Dessert
Trevor & I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all personally for your support and kindness. This help us to raise a combined total of £4800 for our charities: Cancer Research UK & Help the Heroes.
The race itself was every bit as hard as we thought, completing a marathon every day really took its toll on our bodies and feet. If anybody out there wants to loss a bit of weight I can recommend this. The Sahara Desert is an incredible beautiful place, a real life changing experience.

Cwmbran Harriers are an Athletics Club based in Cwmbran who provide athletics support to athletes of a variety of ages and ability. They encourage and train athletes to compete in all different types of competitions, from track and field through to cross country and even road running.
Linnet Technology recently supported Cwbran with support for funding towards various equipment for the athletes, and wish them all every success in the future.

Linnet are supporting 2 engineers on a six day hike across the Sahara Desert. The race involves carrying all their own equipment including food and water for six days. All in aid of raising as much as they can for Heroes and Cancer Research UK.
