Linnet Technology’s Technical Director Jim Laughlin will be attending the World Future Energy Summit, which is being held in Abu Dhabi in January 2012.
The World Future Energy Summit is the world’s foremost annual meeting committed to advancing future energy, energy efficiency and clean technologies by engaging political, business, finance, academic and industry leaders to drive innovation, business and investment opportunities in response to the growing need for sustainable energy. It represents an unrivalled business platform bringing together project owners and solution providers with investors and buyers from both the public and private sectors.
It is held in Abu Dhabi because not only is it the capital of the United Arab Emirates, it is a global leader in energy. The Emirate, one of the world’s leading producers of oil and gas, is investing heavily to become a regional and international powerhouse in renewable and sustainable energy knowledge, technology and capacity.
It is important for Jim Laughlin to attend this event on behalf of Linnet as Abu Dhabi is investing considerable resources to the advancement and adoption of renewable energy. The country also provides substantial funding to the International Renewable Energy Agency and working towards a 7% renewable energy target by 2020, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development has offered $50 million in annual loans to finance renewable energy projects in developing countries.
Linnet are continually working on making sure they are offering the very best in power supply for their customers, this is why events such as the World Future Energy Summit are so important.
